Rent without a deposit with Housing Hand

Finding the money for a deposit can be tough and stressful, and it’s one more obstacle between you and your ideal property. That’s why we introduced deposit-free renting, giving you the power to secure your dream property, and rent without a deposit.

More and more providers in our network now accept a deposit-less offer – this means not only can you pay monthly for your guarantee with no upfront rent, but there is no deposit to pay either.

All this from our trusted suppliers and the UK’s number 1 provider of rent guarantees.

What do you need to go deposit free?

Guarantor service

To rent without a deposit you’ll need to have already joined Housing Hand and be using our guarantor service. If you’re not already, you can apply here.

A few details + £25

If you’re already using the guarantor service, we’ll have all of the details from you and your accommodation provider, so we can move your application along quickly. We’ll only need a few further details and a payment of £25.

Small, manageable monthly payments

Rent the property you want without an upfront deposit. Instead, you only have to pay small monthly payments throughout your tenancy, in line with your rent.

How much does it cost to go deposit-free?

A small, monthly fee and you can move in right away!

Rather than having to pay a large deposit, you can move in straight away using Depositless. We only need an application fee of £25, then after that you only pay the equivalent of 20% of one month’s rent (minus your initial £25) and you pay that fee in small chunks, every month, in line with your rent.

We’re the only company offering monthly payments, and we’re the cheapest too!

Common Questions

More and more providers in our network are now accepting our depositless offer. We will get in contact with your accommodation provider ourselves, so that’s one less thing to worry about. We can’t guarantee they’ll accept it, but with a trusted, proven provider like Housing Hand backing you, you will stand a strong chance.

Unfortunately, not. Depositless is only available to those who have already joined Housing Hand. It’s one of many benefits to joining us, you can view others here.

Depositless can be used by any applicant where a deposit is required, as long as the accommodation provider has agreed for Depositless to be used.

Depositless is £25.00 upfront and then the rest of the fee is paid monthly over either 6 or 12 months depending on the length of the tenancy. Tenancies up to 6 months pay their fee over 6 months. Tenancies over 6 months, pay their fee over 12 months. When a tenancy ends if it’s not exactly 6 or 12 months in length, the Depositless payments would continue until 6 months or 12 months of payments have been paid and the Depositless fee is settled in full. The payments would then cease unless you go on to renew.
