This one is for the Chinese students. Grounded Kitchen offers savoury Asian dishes with their favourite being the Buddha bowls of rice. You can choose from vegan, vegetarian, chicken and beef options and their meals are reasonably priced, starting at £4.50.
Konak, London Road
Konak is a Turkish outlet, and they provide really great stuff. If you want to take a break from your usual burger and pizza, Konak offers some delicious serving of lamb and Turkish cuisines.
Heavenly Desserts, London Road
This place is one of the most popular eat out spots for Leicester students. They offer servings of chocolate, cookie dough, crepe, waffle, and many other sweet indulgences. And what’s more, it’s not far from Primus Place or Edge Apartments.
St Martin’s Coffee, St Martins Square
If you are a lover of cheese, you might want to try out this spot. The ambience in St Martin’s Coffee is relaxed and the food is excellent. It’s a perfect place to hang out with friends for a satisfying lunch.
Walshie’s Chinese Restaurant, 14-16 King Street
Owned by Steve Walsh, this Chinese restaurant has a wide variety of options on the menu. You can get vegetarian dishes and Chinese cuisines starting from £6, but students get a 10% discount.
Noodle Bar, 1 St Nicholas Place
This place is a favourite of many Chinese students and offers large Chinese and Singaporean meals. You can get noodles, satay chicken and many other delicious options, plus a spectacular view of the city’s edges.
Lloyds, Corn Exchange
If you love Chinese and bacon burgers, this is the place to be. Lloyds offers an impressive collection of tasty meals that are affordable for students. Whether you want to eat or have a cold drink, steak sandwich or shoestring fries, you can get everything under a fiver.
